The events will kick off at Praça Marcílio Dias with parades heading towards Praça Dois Leões, where evening shows will also take place.
Monday's lineup will highlight the vibrant Afro-Brazilian traditions, featuring performances from the Afro bands Afoxé, Oyá Mesan, and Afro Zumbi, emphasizing the important black cultural roots of Maceió's identity. The festivities will continue at 8 PM at Praça Dois Leões with performances from local artists Mistura de Raça, Guig do Ben, and Som de Vinil, interspersed with lively music from the Orquestra Frevo Alegria, which keeps the Carnival spirit alive.
On Tuesday, the concluding day of Carnival é Massa, traditional blocks from the city will join the celebration, rounding off the festivities in a showcase that not only entertains but also honors the local culture and community bonds. This initiative by the city's administration aims to foster cultural pride and engage residents and visitors alike in the Carnival spirit, further solidifying Jaraguá's reputation as a cultural hub during this festive season.
