The victim stated that she was abducted and sexually assaulted after being offered a sedative at a local clinic.
The case emerged from the village of Bilauchpura in the Singhawali Ahir area, where the alleged crime took place. The victim's family claimed that after filing a complaint against the doctor at the police station, they were met with complacency and indifference from law enforcement. They accused the police of facilitating the accused's release and strong-arming them into a compromise, which exacerbated their sense of injustice and indignation. With no recourse in sight, the family decided to stage a protest by attempting self-immolation, seeking to draw attention to their plight and demand justice.
The on-site SDM Jyoti Sharma intervened just in time to prevent the tragedy, taking the petrol can from the family and averting what could have been a devastating incident.
