Motorcyclist dies after hitting donkey and crashing into a truck in Mossoró
A motorcyclist has died after colliding with a donkey and subsequently crashing into a truck on BR-110 in Mossoró, Brazil.
A tragic accident occurred on the night of October 15 on BR-110 in Mossoró, where a motorcyclist lost his life after hitting a donkey that had wandered onto the road. The Brazilian Federal Highway Police reported that the incident took place around 11:05 PM near the Piquiri community. The motorcyclist was traveling in the direction of Mossoró to Areia Branca when the initial collision occurred, leading to a subsequent crash with a white pickup truck.
The identity of the deceased motorcyclist has not yet been revealed, and it was noted that he was wearing a basic type of helmet at the time of the accident. Unfortunately, the donkey also succumbed as a result of the impact. The aftermath of the accident prompted a response from the PRF, along with support from the Civil Police and Scientific Police, which conducted investigations at the scene and transferred the body for necropsy.
Since the accident resulted in a fatality, the circumstances surrounding the incident are now being handled by the Civil Police. This incident highlights ongoing concerns regarding road safety, particularly in rural areas where animals may stray onto the highways, posing risks to motorists.
