Main shooter Deepak arrested for firing at Rohit Shetty's house, MCOCA invoked
Deepak, the main shooter in the firing incident at filmmaker Rohit Shetty's home, has been arrested, revealing the involvement of the Shubham Lonkar gang.
In a significant development in the case of the shooting at director Rohit Shetty's residence in Juhu, Mumbai, Deepak, identified as the main shooter, has been arrested. The police investigation has revealed that the notorious Shubham Lonkar gang orchestrated the shooting as part of an extortion scheme demanding 5 crore rupees. Deepak, who hails from Agra, was reportedly one of the shooters hired by the gang to execute the attack, which involved a total of seven individuals from various cities including Agra, Noida, and Etawah.
In a joint effort, the Uttar Pradesh STF and Mumbai Police conducted operations across multiple states to apprehend the suspects linked to this case. The main shooter, along with accomplices Sunny, Sonu, and Ritik, was arrested in Jhajjar, Haryana, while further arrests were made in Ghaziabad for additional suspects Vishnu Kushwaha, Jatin Bhardwaj, and Vishal. Notably, two individuals, brothers Sonu and Ritik, are also implicated in this conspiracy, indicating the interconnectedness of the gang's operations.
With all seven accused in custody, local authorities are now focused on interrogating them to uncover the entire conspiracy behind the shooting. This investigation highlights the threats posed by organized crime in India and raises concerns about the safety of high-profile individuals in the entertainment industry, further emphasizing the need for effective law enforcement to combat such criminal activities.
