Husband Climbs 33,000 Volt Electric Tower Out of Anger Over Wife Not Being Sent Off
A young man climbed a high voltage electric tower in Uttar Pradesh's Sonbhadra district in anger after a dispute over his wife's send-off.
In a shocking incident from Sonbhadra district in Uttar Pradesh, a 23-year-old man named Vishram Kumar climbed a 33,000 volt high tension electricity tower after becoming upset with his in-laws during preparations for his wife's send-off. This event took place in the village of Chhapka, where Kumar was at his in-laws’ home to escort his wife back. An altercation erupted regarding the send-off, leading him to believe that his in-laws were refusing to let his wife leave with him.
Witnesses reported that after climbing the tower, panic ensued in the area as a large crowd gathered to watch the dramatic scene unfold. The situation escalated quickly, prompting someone to alert the local police at Roberts Ganj. Police, along with Circle Officer Randhir Mishra, arrived at the scene to resolve the situation, taking precautions to prevent any harm to the young man, who had placed his life in jeopardy by climbing the tower.
After negotiations, officials managed to convince Kumar to descend safely from the tower.
