The Finnish government has determined that NATO's Forward Land Forces (FLF) headquarters will be based in Rovaniemi. This decision was announced by the Minister of Defense, Antti Häkkänen, who explained that the operational focus of the FLF troops will primarily be in Northern Finland, leveraging Rovaniemi and Sodankylä as support bases. Häkkänen emphasized that Rovaniemi is the most suitable location due to its logistical advantages and impact on joint operations.
