Police investigate the murder of a young man in Araripina

The Civil Police of Pernambuco (PCP) is currently conducting an investigation into the murder of a young man named Erick Semeão, who was shot dead in the early hours of Sunday, October 15, in Araripina, a city located in the Sertão region of Brazil. According to the Occurrence Bulletin from the 9th Company of the Military Police (CIPM), police officers on duty at the local police station reported hearing gunfire coming from the direction of Vila Santa Bárbara. Upon arriving at the site, witnesses informed the officers that a man had been shot and had fled towards Travessa Santa.
The body of Erick Semeão was discovered approximately 400 meters away from where the shooting occurred. The crime scene was cordoned off and preserved until the arrival of the Criminalistics Institute, which carried out the necessary procedures and subsequently released the body for further investigation.
