In a nighttime assault on Monday, Russian forces launched a significant attack on Ukraine, deploying six missiles along with 62 drones. Ukrainian air defense forces successfully intercepted and destroyed two of the missiles and 52 of the incoming drones. Among the missiles fired were four 'Zircon' anti-ship missiles, one ballistic 'Iskander-M' missile, and a guided aviation missile, identified as H-31P, with successful interceptions reported for two of the 'Zircon' missiles.

The Ukrainian military confirmed that of the 62 drones utilized in the assault, about 40 of them were Iranian-made 'Shahed' strike drones. The attack resulted in hits from one missile and nine drones across eight locations. Debris from the attacks was reportedly scattered in two locations, signaling the intensity of the attack. The aftermath of this assault became evident as rescue services reported a fire sparked by a drone strike on a residential building in the Chernihiv region, though fortunately, no injuries were reported among civilians.
