In the early morning of Monday, a magnitude 4.3 earthquake was recorded by the Instituto Geográfico Nacional (IGN) with its epicenter located in the municipality of Tabernas, in Almería, Spain. The earthquake, occurring at 00:55, was categorized as shallow and experienced tremors across several locations including the provinces of Almería, Granada, Jaén, and Murcia. Reports indicate that the quake, which resulted in up to 14 aftershocks, had its most considerable aftershock reaching a magnitude of 2.6 at 05:38.

The intensity of the earthquake varied across different localities. Residents in Tabernas, Bacares, Serón, and Gádor felt the tremors at intensities of IV-V, suggesting a moderate shaking that could cause slight damage. Other areas reported intensity levels of IV in Alhabia, Tíjola, and Olula del Río, while Abla and Albanchez experienced slightly milder tremors at intensities of III-IV.
