As of January 1, 2026, there are 45,727 individuals named Peter and 43,004 individuals named Anne. These two names have dominated the country's name lists for 14 consecutive years, beginning in 2012. This longstanding popularity reflects cultural trends around naming in Denmark.
In addition to Peter and Anne, the top three female names include Mette and Kirsten, while the male names following Peter are Lars and Michael.
