In Agra, Uttar Pradesh, a police officer's house was robbed of valuables worth lakhs while he was on duty, causing panic in the neighborhood.
In a troubling incident in Agra's Trans Yamuna area, a police officer named Robin Singh, who serves as the in-charge of the Chhata division police station, became the victim of a significant theft. The incident occurred while Singh was out on duty, and his wife was away visiting her parents. On Saturday afternoon, the officer locked the house, but early Sunday morning, masked thieves broke in by tampering with the main gate lock using iron rods and shut down the CCTV cameras before executing their plan.
Once inside, the thieves incapacitated the officer's son, Suraj, by administering a narcotic substance. They then proceeded to the first floor of the house where they broke into a locked room. Once inside, the robbers looted gold, silver, and a cash amount of approximately 20,000 rupees from the officer's residence. This brazen act of theft took place in the home of a police officer, which has raised concerns about community safety and the effectiveness of law enforcement in the area.
The incident has created a stir in the locality, with residents expressing their outrage and fear over the safety of their homes. Initial estimates suggest that the total loss suffered by the officer could amount to several lakhs of rupees. Community members are now calling for increased police vigilance and more proactive measures to prevent further crimes in their area, highlighting a growing sense of insecurity among the public in what is expected to be a thorough investigation into the matter.
