In the early hours of Monday, a house caught fire in Mosterhamn, Bømlo, and was completely burnt down by morning. The first report of the fire was logged at 3:35 AM. Within half an hour, the risk of spreading flames was eliminated, but the house was already engulfed in flames, prompting fire services to focus on containment efforts, as noted by operations leader Rune Tallaksen of the Sørvest police district.

Witnesses have been interviewed by police, who have left the scene without securing contact with the house's owner. The exact cause of the fire remains unknown at this point.
