Carnaval in Rio: 43 Blocos Parade This Monday; See List and Timings

On February 16, 2023, Rio de Janeiro will be hosting 43 different samba blocs as part of its vibrant Carnival celebrations. These blocs will be spread out across various neighborhoods, with a range of performances that attract both locals and tourists alike. Among the highlights are the Sargento Pimenta at Aterro do Flamengo, the Brasília Amarela in the city center, the Carrossel de Emoções, also at Aterro, and the Aconteceu bloc in Santa Teresa.
The festivities will kick off early in the day, beginning at 8:00 AM with the Que Pena Amor bloc at Praça Tiradentes in the center of Rio. Following that, at 9:00 AM, several other blocs will take to the streets, such as the Corre Atrás in Leblon, the Virtual bloc in Copacabana, and the Vem Cá Minha Flor on Avenida Marechal Câmara. One of the day's main attractions, the Sargento Pimenta, will parade at 10:00 AM along Avenida Infante Dom Henrique, coinciding with the Brasília Amarela, which will also depict its vibrant essence in Largo São Francisco de Paula.
As the day progresses, the intense energy of Carnival will continue throughout the afternoon, with various blocs performing at different times, including Bafo da Onça in Santa Teresa and others in Copacabana and Botafogo.
