The VID data reveals the total tax arrears in Latvia at the beginning of February
At the beginning of February, Latvia's total tax arrears reached €830.763 million, up by 1.8% from the previous month, according to data from the State Revenue Service (VID).
In Latvia, the total tax arrears at the beginning of February this year amounted to €830.763 million, which signifies a 1.8% increase compared to the previous month, as reported by the State Revenue Service (VID). This figure includes current arrears, deferred payments, and repayment term extensions. Notably, the arrears to the state basic budget stood at €352.481 million as of February 1, 2026, reflecting a monthly rise of 4.7%. Meanwhile, municipal budget debts were recorded at €294.066 million, a decrease of 0.6% from the prior month, and social insurance contributions' arrears amounted to €184.216 million, marking a slight increase of 0.5%.
