From Education to Transformation – NFOŚiGW Forum
The NFOŚiGW forum aims to create knowledge and discussion centers that contribute to a new environmental policy in Poland.
The NFOŚiGW forum was inaugurated with the goal of developing competence centers focused on environmental policy, as highlighted by Dorota Zawadzka-Stępniak, president of the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management. During the launch, she expressed the hope that attendees would leave with tangible ideas that move from conceptual discussions to real-world impacts.
Central to the forum's initiative is the involvement of a diverse group of stakeholders, which includes representatives from state administration at both central and local levels, financial institutions, entrepreneurs, think tank experts, scientists, and NGOs. This collaborative approach is intended to facilitate a comprehensive understanding of the transformation needed for effective climate action, leveraging insights from both the natural and social sciences.
The importance of this multidisciplinary strategy was underscored by the Secretary of State in the Ministry of Climate, who emphasized the need for teamwork rather than opposition in addressing climate challenges. The forum is positioned as a pivotal platform for exchanging ideas and strategies among various stakeholders, crucial for achieving progress in Poland's environmental transformation efforts.
