The 2026 Carnival celebrations in Rio Branco culminated in the election of Bianca Lins and Liah Souza as the Gay and Trans Queens following a significant rain delay.
The 2026 Carnival festivities in Rio Branco faced a setback of one and a half hours due to rain, but this did not dampen the spirit of the celebration as the new Gay and Trans Queens were crowned in a vibrant ceremony held at Praça da Revolução. Bianca Lins was crowned as the Gay Queen, marking her third time holding the title, while Liah Souza took the crown as the new Trans Queen in a colorful event that drew a lively crowd.
The competition saw fierce participation: in the Gay category, four candidates vied for the title, and the results were neck-and-neck, with only a tenth of a point separating the top two contestants. Isabella Santos and Gabriella Brasil secured the second and third places, respectively, making the contest an exciting highlight of the evening. Meanwhile, the Trans category featured seven candidates, with Liah Souza emerging victorious, followed closely by Vitória Bogéa and Brenda Strass in second and third places.
Following the coronation, the festivities continued until the early hours of Sunday morning, showcasing performances from prominent local artists including DJ Black and the Grupo Cobras Dance. This celebration not only highlighted the talent and diversity of the contestants but also reinforced the importance of inclusivity and representation in local cultural events, fostering a strong sense of community among attendees.
