Dogs mauled Hippu to the brink of death – Owner delayed taking it for treatment
A woman’s adult dachshunds severely injured her puppy, and she delayed taking it for help for over six hours, resulting in possible loss of all her dogs to the state.
In a disturbing incident involving multiple dachshunds, a woman’s adult dogs mauled her three-month-old puppy, Hippu, to a critical state. The owner took over six hours to seek veterinary assistance for the injured puppy. This significant delay could result in the state seizing all of her dogs due to neglect and mistreatment.
The owner had been cleaning her home and allowed her six to seven dogs to play outside. Unbeknownst to her, Hippu, the puppy, managed to climb over a snow pile into the adult dogs' enclosure. When she finished her chores and called her dogs back inside, Hippu was missing. Initially believing that Hippu might be trapped under a snow drift, she was unaware of the serious injury the puppy had sustained during the encounter with the adult dogs.
After noticing Hippu lying lifeless approximately twenty meters away, the owner sought help from a man nearby to uncover the snow and access the puppy. Even after finding Hippu, the delay in seeking prompt treatment raised concerns about animal welfare, potentially leading to severe consequences for the owner, including the loss of her dogs to the state agency responsible for animal control.
