On Sunday, a man was buried in a landslide that occurred in the rural region of Araçoiaba da Serra, São Paulo, during an excavation for a septic tank. The incident happened when the worker was using a mini-loader machine for the project and descended into a five-meter deep trench. As he was inside the trench, a shift in the earth caused a landslide, which buried him beneath the dirt.

A family member present at the scene immediately began a rescue operation before emergency teams arrived. The worker was successfully rescued and transported to the Conjunto Hospitalar de Sorocaba, where he currently remains under medical care. The local Civil Defense was notified and took precautionary measures by isolating the area where the incident occurred to prevent further accidents and ensure the safety of others.
