The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) has initiated a new dialogue platform aimed at incorporating Russian democratic forces that are currently in exile. This move emerges nearly four years after Russia's expulsion from the Council of Europe, highlighting a significant change in Europe's approach towards Russian opposition figures. As the war in Ukraine persists, this platform may serve as a vital mechanism for fostering dialogue and collaboration among those opposing the Russian regime.

With the first meeting taking place in Strasbourg during a winter plenary session, approximately fifteen participants officially launched the platform and published their joint statement.
