A 40-year-old man was caught attempting to steal 44 bars of luxury Swiss chocolate from a supermarket located on Mariahilfer Strasse in Vienna last Saturday morning. Store employees observed the suspect filling his backpack with chocolate before exiting the store without paying. When confronted, he opened his bag and dumped the stolen goods onto the street, indicating he had no intention of returning them voluntarily.

As the situation escalated, the man attempted to punch one of the supermarket employees but missed, losing his balance and falling, which inadvertently pulled another employee to the ground as well. This altercation resulted in one staff member suffering minor injuries. Upon the arrival of law enforcement, the Czech national displayed aggressive behavior and reportedly attempted to attack a police officer. The police described him as uncooperative, leading to his preliminary arrest.
