Another of the accused of assembling and launching Molotov cocktails in front of Congress has been arrested

A third suspect involved in the mob violence during labor reform protests has been arrested in Argentina.

A third individual has been arrested in connection with last week's violent protests outside the Argentine Congress against labor reform. The Federal Police apprehended Milton Tolomeo on Saturday night in Avellaneda after he was seen on video assembling and launching a Molotov cocktail during the protests. The protests had escalated into riots, prompting government officials to demand swift action in identifying those responsible for the chaos.

Tolomeo, dubbed the 'anarchist of the Molotov', was not initially recognized in security footage presented by Security Minister Alejandra Monteoliva, which highlighted four suspects following the unrest. His name also did not appear on a list of 17 others implicated in the violence released the morning after the protests. His identification resulted from a meticulous analysis of video footage that clearly showed his direct involvement in the incendiary actions during the demonstration, contributing to the overall narrative of escalating tensions between the government and demonstrators.

The ongoing investigations and arrests reflect the Argentine government's serious stance on managing civil unrest, particularly in response to protests against labor reforms perceived as unfavorable. The implications of these actions are significant as they may deter similar protests in the future, but they simultaneously raise concerns about civil liberties and the right to protest in the country.
