French President Macron to Visit India from February 16 to 19, Will Participate in AI Summit
French President Emmanuel Macron is set to visit India from February 16 to 19 to attend the AI Impact Summit 2026, a key event hosted by the Indian government.
The Indian government is organizing the AI Impact Summit 2026, set to take place from February 16 to 20, 2026, at Bharat Mandapam in Pragati Maidan, India. This event holds significant global importance as it is the first AI summit being conducted in the Global South as part of the India AI mission. The main summits will occur on February 19 and 20, with the event being inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Approximately 20 heads of state, prime ministers, and vice-presidents from various countries are expected to participate in this summit, along with AI experts from around the globe. French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte Macron, are scheduled to be in India for an official visit from February 16 to 19 to partake in the summit. President Macron will arrive in Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport on the night of February 16, where a formal photo session is planned.
Macron's trip will commence in Mumbai, where he is slated to meet Prime Minister Modi on February 17, sign various Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs), and take part in the India-France Innovation Forum. This visit underscores France's interest in engaging with India on technological and innovation fronts as both nations look towards strengthening bilateral relations.
