The incident took place when a 20-year-old driver from Kielce was towing the sled with his Skoda car along Inwestycyjnos street, where traffic is allowed. Two friends, aged 21 and 22, were sitting on the sled during this risky activity, which is far from typical recreational practices.

Emergency services were alerted after 11 PM, and the tragedy unfolded as the driver turned right; the sled, unexpectedly, detached and collided with an oncoming vehicle.
