According to Per Solberg, the operations leader at Innlandet Police District, the individual who was airlifted to the hospital after the collision is not suffering from life-threatening injuries. The incident involved two vehicles that collided head-on when one of the cars moved into the oncoming traffic lane.
In addition to the person who was airlifted, another individual was transported to Gjøvik Hospital via ambulance. The police received reports of the accident around 7:30 PM, leading to the closure of the highway for approximately four hours as emergency services responded to the scene. Fortunately, the injuries sustained by those involved were not critical, indicating the situation could have been worse.
