Dentist travels from São Paulo to Santos on a unicycle reaching speeds of up to 90 km/h: 'sensational experience'; VIDEO
A dentist from São Paulo is gaining attention for his adventurous journey on an electric unicycle from São Paulo to Santos, reaching impressive speeds, and sharing the experience online.
Wallans Tedesco de Albuquerque, a 35-year-old harmonizing dentist, has gone viral on social media after showcasing his routine with an electric unicycle. His adventurous journey from the capital, São Paulo, to Santos on a single wheel captured public interest, and he expressed that it was a 'sensational experience.' Wallans, alongside friends on unicycles and electric scooters, embarked on this trip in December 2025, sharing the footage online in the following year.
The adventure sparked conversations regarding the legality of such vehicles on highways, which are currently prohibited in areas lacking rest stops—a condition prevalent across various parts of the Anchieta-Imigrantes System. This raises significant questions about the safety and regulation of electric mobility devices, especially as individuals push the boundaries of conventional vehicle use. The São Paulo Secretary of Public Security (SSP-SP) clarified that this particular incident occurred prior to the enforcement of Resolution No. 996/2023 from Contran, which officially regulated the use of individual mobility devices starting January 1, 2026.
In the video shared, viewers can see Wallans and his group navigating through a toll booth while greeting officers from the Military Highway Police, highlighting both the thrill of their journey and the informal nature of their ride in a context where adherence to mobility regulations is typically paramount. The combination of adventure, social media influence, and regulatory discussions opens a broader dialogue about the future of individual transportation methods in urban and highway settings, especially in light of forthcoming legal changes.
