PIT settlement for 2025 has begun. How to file a declaration? Mistakes can cost a fortune
In Poland, taxpayers can now file their tax declarations for the year 2025, with various options available including online submissions.
Starting from February 15, taxpayers in Poland are now able to submit their tax declarations for the year 2025. They can choose to file their taxes either in paper form or electronically, with the deadline for submissions being April 30. After this date, the tax office can charge interest on any outstanding payments. This initiative highlights the importance of timely filing to avoid financial penalties that can arise from late submissions.
Taxpayers in Poland have the flexibility to choose how they wish to file their tax returns. Traditional paper forms can be sent by mail or delivered in person to the tax office. However, there is a growing trend towards online solutions, which are accessible via the tax portal at podatki.gov.pl and through the e-Tax Office. These options provide convenience and efficiency for taxpayers who prefer digital platforms for their tax filings.
One of the most convenient methods for filing is the 'Twój e-PIT' service offered by the Ministry of Finance. Since February 15, pre-filled tax declarations are available in the system, allowing taxpayers to approve, amend, or complete their returns more easily. Additionally, a mobile application called e-UrzÄ d Skarbowy has been created for those who wish to manage their tax filings directly from their phones, further streamlining the process and making it more accessible for all taxpayers in Poland.
