Ministry of Health in Gaza: Ten killed in military strikes across the Strip; IDF: Response to ceasefire violation

Ten people were killed and nine injured during Israeli military strikes in Gaza, according to Hamas's Ministry of Health.

The Israeli military has conducted strikes across the Gaza Strip, resulting in ten fatalities and nine injuries, as reported by the Hamas-run Ministry of Health. Among the incidents reported, a strike hit a makeshift refugee tent near the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza, alongside additional strikes in Khan Younis in the south. Authorities claim that some victims remain trapped under the rubble due to these military offensives.

Following the strike near Jabalia, injured individuals were transferred to Shifa Hospital in Gaza City, while reports from the Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis confirmed four fatalities due to an attack on a Hamas observation post in the area. It was reported that the strike was executed via an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), with claims that a military drone targeted individuals attempting to approach and rescue victims from the scene. Concurrently, artillery fire from the IDF was noted, along with demolition activities in the vicinity of Jabalia.

The IDF responded that these strikes were a reaction to armed militants emerging from a tunnel and entering under the rubble of a structure near the army's operational lines. The military confirmed the removal of two militants during the attack and possibly many more. The IDF stated that these actions represent a blatant violation of the ceasefire agreement, thus escalating tensions in an already fragile ceasefire scenario in the region.
