Timo Majuri, a Finnish man living on the outskirts of Tallinn, Estonia, has revealed that his monthly electricity bill has reached a startling 2,000 euros. Majuri employs both electricity and wood pellets for heating his home, and he has taken measures to optimize his energy consumption by heating large tanks of water that circulate under the floors. Despite his efforts to manage heating costs, the steep price of electricity has left him astonished and struggling to keep expenses under control.

In addition to his high electricity bill, Majuri also spends about 1,200 euros monthly on wood pellets, using approximately three tons each month during the winter months. He expressed relief that he has been able to source wood pellets in Estonia, as supplies have become increasingly scarce. With the rising demand for heating solutions, he has purchased what he believes to be the last remaining wood pellets in Estonia, as neighboring countries like Latvia and Lithuania have already run out.

Majuri's situation highlights the broader issue of rising energy costs in the region, exacerbated by increased demand and supply shortages. As many households face similar challenges, the reliance on alternative heating resources like wood pellets has become a critical topic of discussion, indicating a growing urgency in addressing energy efficiency and sustainability in these markets.
