It includes a 'complete surrender' to the rapid support forces.. Sudan's Prime Minister presents a peace initiative in Munich

Sudan's Prime Minister Kamel Idris has proposed a comprehensive peace initiative at the Munich Security Conference, emphasizing civilian protection and national unity.

During the Munich Security Conference, Sudanese Prime Minister Kamel Idris presented details of a Sudanese peace initiative submitted to the United Nations Security Council. He highlighted that the initiative is all-encompassing and aims for a win-win situation among all parties involved while emphasizing the importance of civilian protection and the restoration of legal and legislative authority in Sudan as a unified state.

Idris commended previous tri-partite international initiatives led by former US President Donald Trump, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, recognizing them as positive and supportive of peace efforts. However, he made it clear that his initiative was uniquely crafted with broad public participation and the backing of various international and regional organizations, including the United Nations, African Union, Arab League, as well as Islamic and church organizations.

In his discourse, Idris stressed that achieving peace requires more than just a ceasefire declaration. It must be accompanied by comprehensive arrangements involving disarmament and the reintegration of armed forces. He also pointed out the challenges Sudan faces today, particularly from mercenaries from various countries, and underscored the need to halt any external support for these groups, citing academic and international evidence to support his claims.
