Kristoffer Eriksen Sundal, a 25-year-old Norwegian ski jumper, had a promising start in the large hill competition, ending the first round in third place with a jump of 136 meters. He was in close contention for a medal, trailing by only four points behind Japan's Ren Nikaido and 2.5 points behind Slovenia's Domen Prevc. In the final round, Sundal's jump of 135.5 meters initially placed him second, but Prevc surpassed him with a superior jump, resulting in Sundal ultimately finishing in fourth place.
