Gisèle Pellico: Wants to meet her ex-husband in prison asking for answers

Gisèle Pellico plans to visit her ex-husband Dominique in prison to confront him about years of abuse and to inquire about the possible sexual exploitation of their daughter.

Gisèle Pellico, a 73-year-old woman, has announced her intention to visit her former husband, Dominique Pellico, in prison, expressing a need to confront him directly about the years of abuse she endured, including being drugged and sexually assaulted. Her case has garnered significant attention throughout France and Europe, highlighting the disturbing allegations that Dominique and numerous other men are involved in similar acts of violence against women.

Dominique Pellico was sentenced to 20 years in prison in December 2024, alongside 50 other men. Reports indicate that the number of perpetrators could be as high as 70, with many still unidentified. Gisèle is particularly concerned about potential abuse suffered by their daughter, as she continues to seek answers from Dominique regarding these grave allegations, as well as a 1991 case involving a post-mortem rape.

In an interview with the New York Times, Gisèle noted that she possesses two photographs showing their unconscious daughter, which raises further questions about abuse. Her desperation for the truth underscores the complexities of familial relationships marred by violence and the struggle for accountability, as she hopes for a candid disclosure during their proposed face-to-face meeting in prison.
