The arrest was a result of investigative work by the 15th Department and the theft and robbery investigation unit in Teófilo Otoni, which successfully located the fugitive's hideout. The police monitored a three-story building in the city center throughout the day before confirming the suspect's presence, leading to his apprehension on the top floor.
In addition to the arrest, law enforcement officials seized 37 rounds of .38 caliber ammunition from the suspect's location, raising concerns about the potential for violence associated with his criminal network.
