A 12-year-old boy named Luiz Miguel from Arapiraca, Brazil, has garnered attention for his accordion skills and passion for forró music since he began his journey at the age of five.
Luiz Miguel, a 12-year-old boy from Arapiraca, Brazil, developed a passion for the accordion and forró music when he was just five years old after hearing Dorgival Dantas play 'Asa Branca', a song by Luiz Gonzaga. His admiration for the music led him to creatively use his school backpack as an accordion, mimicking the legendary King of Baião, Gonzaga. Recognizing his enthusiasm, his mother gifted him his first instrument, an eight-bass accordion, which marked the beginning of his musical journey.
Currently participating in a local cultural initiative called 'Cultura na Praça', Luiz Miguel performs alongside seasoned musicians and accordion players every Monday in Praça Luiz Pereira Lima, a project founded in 2001 by the late accordionist Afrânio Acácio. Through these performances, he is receiving valuable mentorship and experience in the music community.
In addition to his music career, Luiz Miguel is a typical schoolboy, currently in the seventh grade of Elementary School.
