Mariana Rosa de Andrade, aged 94, passed away on Saturday morning at the Unimed Hospital in Teresina. She was the mother of Joãozinho Felix, the mayor of Campo Maior, and grandmother of the state deputy Dogival Vidal dos Reis Neto, known as Dogim Félix. Mariana had been hospitalized for over ten days after breaking her femur due to a fall and underwent surgery. Although she was recovering, she contracted a bacterial infection, which ultimately led to her passing.

According to a statement from the Campo Maior City Hall's communication department, Mariana was receiving care for her injuries when the infection developed. The hospital has refrained from making any statements about her health without family consent.
