On the evening of Friday, the 13th, an accident on the Manílio Gobbi highway (SP-284) in Paraguaçu Paulista, São Paulo, involved two trucks and a car, resulting in at least six injuries. The incident occurred around 8 PM when one truck collided with a bitrem (a type of truck with two trailers) that was leaving a gas station, causing significant disruption on the roadway.

Following the initial collision, a car traveling in the same direction struck the side of the bitrem. In the aftermath, one truck, loaded with wood, overturned, blocking the highway. Rescue teams arrived at the scene to assist the victims, one of whom was trapped in the wreckage in critical condition, while the other injuries were reported as less severe.

The accident led to a traffic jam of 1.6 kilometers and resulted in the closure of both driving lanes and shoulders for nearly five hours, with the road being reopened early Saturday morning. This incident highlights ongoing safety concerns on Brazilian highways, particularly regarding heavy vehicle traffic and the risks associated with mixed vehicle incidents.
