Fortunately, no individuals were injured, nor was there any marine pollution as a result of the incident. Following the incident, the Rijeka Port Authority notified all relevant services, and a formal investigation is underway to assess the damage. The Agency for the Investigation of Accidents in Air, Sea, and Rail Traffic is conducting the crash investigation at the accident scene. Maritime accident investigator Slaven Bušić stated that the agency conducts safety investigations independent of any other inquiries to ascertain the causes and circumstances surrounding the accident.
