Weather has joined the sanctions against Russia. Thick ice halts LNG transport

On January 5, the LNG carrier 'Christophe De Margerie' docked at the sanctioned Arctic LNG 2 facility and is preparing to load the third batch of liquefied gas since December 20, 2025, primarily for China, which is currently the only client of Arctic LNG 2, violating EU and US sanctions.
