Apple has discovered vulnerabilities in its operating systems that could allow attackers to access locked devices, view sensitive user information, and install malware.

Apple has issued a warning regarding several vulnerabilities found in its operating systems, affecting a total of 27 different functions. These vulnerabilities could potentially allow attackers to gain access to locked devices, browse through users' sensitive information, and even install malware. An official announcement on Apple's website details the significance of these vulnerabilities, stressing the urgency for users to update their devices immediately to ensure their safety.

The vulnerabilities affect various features such as WiFi, call history, photos, messages, Bluetooth, and the core of the operating system (the kernel). Apple has released a total of 39 fixes, although specific details on these vulnerabilities are limited. Notably, Bleeping Computer reported that some of these vulnerabilities have already been leveraged in real-world attacks, indicating a serious risk for users who have not yet updated their devices.

Specifically, Apple mentions that these vulnerabilities could be exploited in highly sophisticated attacks targeting selected individuals, with one instance concerning a vulnerability related to Apple’s dynamic linker (dyld). As these risks are particularly acute for users of iPhone 11 models and later, Apple strongly advises all users to take immediate action by updating their devices to safeguard their personal data and enhance overall security.
