Banda Daki alters traffic in the city center and more than 50 bus lines in Juiz de Fora
The Banda Daki parade in Juiz de Fora will cause significant traffic disruptions and changes to over 50 bus routes this Saturday.
On Saturday, the traditional Banda Daki parade will take place in the city center of Juiz de Fora, causing traffic disruptions starting from 10 AM until 5 PM. The main affected area will be the stretch of Avenida Rio Branco between Rua Barão de Cataguases and Presidente Itamar Franco, which will be closed to vehicles. This closure is expected to impact the flow of traffic significantly, and motorists are advised to find alternative routes.
Over 50 bus lines will also undergo route alterations due to the parade. The local Urban Mobility Secretary has provided alternative suggestions for the public, such as using Avenues Getúlio Vargas and Itamar Franco, as well as Rua Santo Antônio for detours. Starting at 11 AM, buses passing through the area will have amended itineraries to ensure continued service for commuters.
This annual event not only celebrates local culture but also demonstrates the community's participation in traditional festivities, which may necessitate adjustments in daily transportation and traffic patterns. Such events are vital for local engagement and help promote regional identity, but they also highlight the importance of effective urban planning and communication about public transportation needs during large public gatherings.
