More than 15 thousand tourists board six Carnival cruise ships in Santos, SP
Around 15,000 tourists are expected to embark on six cruise ships at the Port of Santos during the Carnival from February 13 to 15.
The Giusfredo Santini Passenger Terminal, located at the Port of Santos, is anticipating a busy Carnival season with around 15,000 tourist embarkations and approximately 3,000 transit passengers expected from February 13 to 15. The schedule includes the arrival of various cruise ships including the MSC Sinfonia and the Pacific World, with significant traffic anticipated on the weekend as the MSC Preziosa, Costa Diadema, and Aidamar dock at the terminal.
To handle the influx of passengers, the terminal management has made provisions to ensure smooth operations during this peak period. Javier Carnevale, the Operations Manager at Concais, emphasized the importance of collaboration among teams to maintain operational efficiency, ensuring that processes remain seamless despite the high demand during the Carnival festivities.
This increase in cruise passenger traffic signifies the growing popularity of Carnival-related travel, contributing to the local economy of Santos as well as enhancing the city’s profile as a cruise destination.
