Residents in seven municipalities in Pará, Brazil, can request free installation of digital satellite dishes until March 13 as part of the Brazil Antenado program.
Residents of seven municipalities in Pará have until March 13 to apply for the free installation of new digital satellite dishes through the Brazil Antenado program. This initiative aims to assist families registered in the Cadastro Único (CadÚnico) by enhancing access to open and free television, especially in areas where the signal is weak or non-existent. The program seeks to bridge the digital divide by providing essential services to underserved communities.
This phase of the program, referred to as Phase B, covers 138 municipalities across the states of Tocantins, Pará, Roraima, Piauí, and Maranhão. Together, these cities include more than 229,000 families eligible to benefit from this initiative. In Pará specifically, the municipalities involved are Anapu, Cachoeira do Piriá, Chaves, Gurupá, Nova Esperança do Piriá, Santa Cruz do Arari, and Senador José Porfírio, which are predominantly located in regions where access to quality television service is vital for educational and entertainment purposes.
Families registered in CadÚnico in these cities can schedule the installation of their digital satellite dishes via the official website brasilantenado.org.br or by calling 0800 729 2404. This program not only provides families with better access to information and entertainment but also integrates them into initiatives aimed at improving digital literacy and enhancing their quality of life, thereby contributing to a more equitable society in Brazil.
