Terras: A supplementary bus line will support the Valga-Tartu connection until the end of the school year
The Estonian Minister of Regional Affairs announced support for the Valga-Tartu daily train service with an additional bus line until the school year ends.
During a meeting at Valga Town Hall, Estonia's Minister of Regional Affairs, Hendrik Johannes Terras, confirmed that the daily connection between Valga and Tartu will receive additional support in the form of a supplementary bus line. This decision aims to enhance transport options for daily commuters and students traveling between these two cities.
The additional bus line is set to complement the existing train services, which include five regular train connections. This initiative reflects the government's commitment to improve public transportation accessibility and ensure that students and workers have reliable means of travel during the school year.
The support for the bus line is crucial as it addresses the transportation needs in the region, especially given the increasing importance of seamless travel for educational and employment purposes. The initiative not only facilitates better access to educational institutions but also promotes regional connectivity and economic activity between Valga and Tartu.
