The parents of a minor are fighting for the Health Department of Castilla y León to cover a dental treatment of 40,000 euros

The parents of an eight-year-old girl are in a legal battle to have the Castilla y León Health Department cover an expensive dental treatment after a series of denied claims and judicial interventions.

The parents of an eight-year-old girl, referred to as Nuria, are currently engaged in a legal conflict with the Health Department of Castilla y León (Sacyl) over the coverage of a costly dental treatment totaling 40,000 euros. This situation arose after a routine dental inspection revealed that Nuria had only 16 out of the standard 32 teeth, necessitating complex medical interventions. The first step in her treatment was a dental orthoprosthetic procedure, which had a modest cost of 360 euros. Unfortunately, Sacyl denied coverage for this procedure, citing improper formalities, which prompted the family to seek legal recourse.
