La Garfield and María Centeno together at the Pepsi Center!
The Mexican band La Garfield is set to perform at the Pepsi Center alongside former lead vocalist María Centeno, promising a night of great music and nostalgia.
In the past decade, the fusion of bohemian rhythms such as soul, jazz, and funk with Latin tones has been a constant presence in the Mexican music scene. La Garfield, a band from Guadalajara, has emerged as one of the foremost representatives of this trend, showcasing quality in each project while embracing change and experimentation. The band is set to perform at the Pepsi Center WTC, accompanied by María Centeno, their original lead vocalist, who promises an evening filled with excellent music, nostalgia, and surprises.
María Centeno, who is also part of the group La Isla Centeno, was the first vocalist for La Garfield, and together they released their debut album "Sin miedo" in 2013. After Centeno's departure, Sofia Steiner took over as the lead vocalist, but she too left following the release of two albums, "Love Paraíso" (2016) and "Todo lo Rico" (2018). Currently, Valentina Marentes serves as the new lead singer, having released albums such as "La vida no es tan seria" (2023) and "Cuando se acaba la noche" (2025). During a press conference, Valentina emphasized the significance of this concert, particularly with the reunion of Centeno, underscoring a moment of reflection and celebration for the band and its audience.
