THE COST OF SILENCE ⟩ Who will cover the bill? Former Prince Andrew owes the royal family nearly 14 million euros

Former Prince Andrew allegedly owes the British royal family close to 14 million euros, linked to legal settlements to avoid a public trial in the U.S.

According to British tabloid reports, former Prince Andrew is facing a debt of approximately 13.8 million euros, which was reportedly assembled as a family joint fund. This amount includes around 8 million euros derived from the late Queen Elizabeth II's estate, approximately 3.4 million euros from the inheritance of Prince Philip, and about 1.7 million euros from his brother, King Charles III, during his time as Prince of Wales. The agreement was reached in 2022 to prevent a public trial in the United States, stemming from Virginia Giuffre's allegations of sexual abuse against Andrew when she was a minor, which he has consistently denied.
