Silver Fantasy! Adamczyková Celebrates Her Third Olympic Medal After Amazing Rides

Eva Adamczyková won her third Olympic medal in snowboard cross, finishing second in Livigno, Italy, just 0.04 seconds behind Australian Josie Baff.

Czech snowboard cross athlete Eva Adamczyková achieved a remarkable milestone by winning her third Olympic medal, securing a silver in Livigno, Italy, with a nail-biting finish just four hundredths of a second behind Australia's Josie Baff. This silver medal rounds out her collection from the Olympic Games, bringing back memories of her gold in the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics and her bronze in Pyeongchang in 2018. Notably, Adamczyková was unable to compete four years ago in Beijing due to an injury.

At 32 years old, Adamczyková made a comeback this season after taking a break for motherhood, and she now boasts the impressive accolade of winning a medal as a mother of a one-year-old son, Kryštof. Her achievement adds to the impressive performance by the Czech team at the Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo Games, with the country now winning three medals, including gold for snowboarder Zuzana Maděrová in the parallel giant slalom and silver for speed skater Matěj Jílek in the 5000 meters.

Additionally, the event saw Italian Michela Moioli, the 2018 Pyeongchang champion, claim the bronze medal, while 18-year-old Karolína Hrůšová faced an early exit in her Olympic debut, being eliminated in the round of 16. This competition and the medals achieved underscore the ingenuity and resilience of female athletes in winter sports, particularly those returning to competition after personal milestones like motherhood.
