The person appointed to oversee the restructuring process is lawyer Tuomas Penttilä from Eversheds Law Firm. The company faces requirements that must be reported within a month, with a program proposal expected to be submitted by June 15.

The application for Järvisydän Oy's corporate restructuring was filed on January 21, 2026, by a branch of Siemens Financial Services AB in Finland. Interestingly, on the same day, a local consulting firm from Savonlinna also filed for bankruptcy against the real estate company Lomakylä Järvisydän Oy. The claim at the center of the bankruptcy application is disputed, and this is not the first time that the company has faced bankruptcy inquiries, as a previous application was also made in the autumn but was withdrawn.

The spa hotel’s operations revolve around these two companies, Lomakylä Järvisydän Oy and Järvisydän Oy, along with their subsidiaries, both of which share the same CEO. Järvisydän Oy's filing for corporate restructuring indicates significant financial difficulties, highlighting broader implications for the local economy and the spa tourism sector in North Savo, especially if restructuring does not yield the desired turnaround in operations.
