Tire Carried by Imported Car Cut Open – A Shocking Surprise Inside
Swedish customs seized a significant drug shipment hidden inside a vehicle imported from abroad.
Swedish customs officials reported the confiscation of a substantial illegal drug shipment that had been concealed within an imported vehicle. This information was shared through a Facebook update from the Swedish customs agency. The driver of the vehicle, registered in Norway, claimed to have been on vacation in Romania and was on his way back to Norway, having traveled through Germany to reach Sweden for a ferry crossing.
During the inspection of the car, customs officers discovered a backpack filled with clothes in the back seat. Beneath this backpack, they found a cardboard box containing tablets classified as narcotics, including Diazepam and Rivotril. This shocking find prompted customs to conduct a thorough search of the entire vehicle, including its trailer, which was revealed through X-ray imaging to contain tires filled with Ksalol tablet strips highly sought after in illicit drug markets.
Further searches uncovered additional controlled substances in the vehicle's ski box. The driver was subsequently questioned about the origin and purpose of the drugs, as authorities worked to uncover the extent of this drug smuggling operation. Such incidents underline the ongoing issues of drug trafficking within and across European borders, highlighting the need for vigilant customs enforcement in identifying and cutting off these illegal supply chains.
