In Kukshi, a government primary school in the Dhar district of Madhya Pradesh, a shocking display of negligence by the education department and the construction agency has come to light. A girls' toilet was constructed in the 2019-20 school year at a cost of approximately ₹3.12 lakhs; however, despite being clearly labeled as a girls' toilet, the internal structure is designed for male usage. The situation reveals a stark difference between the documentation and the actual facilities available to students, with significant hygiene issues reported within the toilet.

The external wall of the building displays all necessary information about the construction project, including costs, agency details, and dates, affirming that it is indeed meant for girls. Yet, upon entering the toilet, it is evident that it has been poorly designed and maintained, showing serious sanitation problems. What is particularly alarming is that six years after the construction, no officials from the education department or the Rural Engineering Service (RES) have addressed this critical flaw, as there have been no inspections identifying faults or efforts to rectify the issues.

This troubling scenario became public when a concerned citizen recorded a video of the unsatisfactory state of the toilet and shared it on social media, prompting outrage and raising questions about accountability in the management of public educational facilities.
