Finland's ski jumping head coach, Igor Medved, has been dismissed from the Olympic Games after incidents related to excessive alcohol consumption. This development has led to the cancellation of a press conference initially scheduled for Thursday. Following this, the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation (NRK) reached out to Finnish ski jumpers to discuss the effects of this news on their performance and morale.

Finnish jumper Niko Kytösaho expressed that the news certainly affects the team, revealing that they have had numerous discussions on how to approach the situation. He noted that the team is trying to focus on their sport and leave the handling of the coaching matter to others. Similarly, fellow jumper Antti Aalto indicated that they prefer not to dwell on the controversy surrounding their coach, emphasizing that their primary concern remains their jumping.

In the wake of Medved's removal, the coaching responsibilities have been transferred to Lasse Moilanen, an assistant coach.
